Signing a Work Order on the Mobile App

If your services require Technicians to sign off upon completion, Express Maintenance Mobile (EMM) allows users to add a signature to completed Services and Work Orders.

Step 1: Set Up Service Notes in Express Maintenance (EM)

Before signatures can be added in the mobile app, ensure service notes are properly set up in EM.

  1. Open EM Services.

  2. Add your desired Service Notes.

  3. Assign the service to the appropriate Unit.* To view or edit notes, click on the Service Notes Dialog.

  4. Set the service interval by using the Schedule Wizard.

    • Select a Scheduled Date for the service.

       


Step 2: Assign the PM to a Technician When Converting to a Work Order

  1. In the Service Overview screen, select the relevant PM.

  2. Assign the PM to a Technician.

  3. Click Proceed to Convert to create the Work Order.

     


Step 3: Complete and Sign the Work Order in EMM

  1. Open Express Maintenance Mobile (EMM).

  2. Locate the assigned Work Order and go to the Service Tab.

  3. Find the PM and click Edit.

  4. Click Open Notes to access the service note area.

  5. When ready to sign on the notes:

    • Select your Location of signature and click the Add More button.

    • Choose the Sign/Draw feature.

    • Add the signature and click Save.

  6. Set the Completed Date/Time for the Service.

  7. If Food Contact is enabled for this unit, ensure an additional signature is captured.


  8. Select the Completed ‘Date/Time’ for the Work Order and click Save Changes to finalize.

     


Step 4: Review in Express Maintenance

  1. Review the completed Work Order in Express Maintenance.

  2. Verify that Service Notes contain the required signature.
